Hi my name is Shyla Starr. I am an East Indian model originally from Hong Kong. I am still rather new to the modeling industry. So far I have been featured on several online magazines, such as Zaria Magazine, Dis n Dat and DIB Inc Status. I have been the 'Model of the Month' on countless websites. I haven't had many negative experiences with modeling. I would say everything has been a learning experience. I have met so many amazing people and collaborated with wonderful photographers. I have had some amazing experiences in the last few months. I am excited to see whats in store for this year. I have been asked by several companies to be featured in their work, so stay tuned!
1. Why do you think the divorce rate is so high? Too many beautiful women
2. Do you think it would be easier to date a celebrity? No, there would be no privacy
3. Have you ever wished you had your own reality show? It would be fun, why not
4. Why do you think reality shows are so popular? They are based on drama and that is what people thrive on, people love to see people fall in love and fight and sleep around
5. Do you feel like exotic dancers and porn stars have it much easier in the urban modeling industry? Not at all, since they put themselves out there they leave nothing to the imagination. As a lingerie model, I show just enough skin to keep em wanting more
6. What's one thing you wish you could change about the modeling industry? I think now its so easy to get involved in, anyone can do it. I've noticed some ugly chicks and they are 'models'. It is a competitive industry to be in as it is, why not cut the ugly ones out
7. On a scale of 1-10 (1 being the lowest) how would you rate your sex drive? 11 lol
8. Do men expect your sex drive to be higher because you model? Definately, they feel that since I am sexy for the camera, I gotta feel sexy all the time. In reality I'm a goofball
9. What won't you do in a music video? get naked
10. Would you date a rapper and/or athlete? No I wouldnt want my personal business in the media
11. Name one modeling myth. That models don't eat, come to McDonalds with me and you will never say that about a model again
12. Imagine you are a parent. If your daughter told you she wanted to model what would you say? Knowing firsthand what it is like I would definitely want her to be safe and I would tell her of my experiences and of course help her make it to the top
13. Do you make money off of your photoshoots? of course
14. Has any photographer made a pass at you? Sadly, yes, it happens. You ignore it and move on. I just kept it professional and put the photographer in his place and reminded him its strictly business.
15. What's your favorite men's magazine? I love Maxim
16. Do you feel like you live a dual life one for the entertainment industry and one for "9 to 5"? Definitely! I am Shyla by day and Shyla Starr at night
17. Do you have more respect for a wife that knows her husband is cheating and stays or a mistress who sleeps with someone else's husband? Neither. If you know your man is cheating, leave and find someone better. If you know the man you are sleeping with his married, I have no respect for you
18. Do you feel more comfortable single or in a relationship? I'm in a long term relationship and I am happy where I'm at right now
19. Do you have a probationary period before having sex with a man? There isn't a time frame. If we're ready and in a moment.. who knows what will happen
20. Do you think when you have sex with a man determines the course of the relationship? No, your connection with the man in general is what determines the relationship
